Out of the Light, Came Darkness....Sekse the Shadow Priestess of Alune

I would say my journey began late 2007, when i decided to roll a priest. My main interest of the priest was the fact you can go shadow. Im all other MMOs that i've played, i've stayed away from healing, i guess because my fear of failing miserably. Ive learned that my strengths in healing was just with a different class. But thats a blog for another day. Today its about my priest and her awesomeness :).

Here is the only photo I have of Sekse in her early days.

Yes, She was once a Night Elf.

Sekse was  mainly holy throughout the early years of her career. She originated on the realm Emerald Dream, and practiced Holy. This was to help get my friends and I into faster groups for Instance running as there was a lack of Healers on the realm. As much as i didnt like healing, i healed for the most part just to level quickly Lol.

She was in the fights of the early Naxxramas, AQ, MC, BWL and the Lady Onyxia. Sekse had the glory of defeating her in her early rage. Sekse mastered Karazhan in its prime and visited the Sun Well.

Shortly after, Azeroth saw the coming of the Burning Crusade and Illidan's reign began through the dark portal. During this time, Sekse was recruited across realms to Echo Isles to a guild named Magic and Mayhem. There she was asked to convert to her dark ways. Her Holy practices were no longer needed and she took on a new role of master of the Shadows.

She raided through all of the burning crusade as Shadow. One of the best achievements was defeating Lady Vashj and Kael before the BIG Nerf!

I must say since I went Shadow, I just can't seem to go back to be a healer on this toon. I have way too much playing as Shadow.

I think my hardcore raiding began to die down during the Wrath of the Lich King.  I was having some RL issues and i just couldn't dedicate the time to raiding. My Dps began to falter and i was soon replaced on my raid team. It wasn't the worse the thing in the world, but raiding was the only thing i had to clear my mind on. But when Life interferes you learn how to alter. Sekse slowly began to fade away as my time in Azeroth was shorter and shorter. To this day, I have yet to see the fall of the Lich King.

After that dark time, the new threat to Azeroth was inching closer as Deathwing was in the mists. I was convinced to return the call of Azeroth, but it came with BIG changes.

Sekse has to leave her home with Magic and Mayhem of 5 or so years, to a new Home on Skullcrusher with the Guild Reckless. Not only was this a big move for Sekse leaving behind all her familiarities, but her alts as well. It was a big step out of a comfort zone and into a new light. She taking on a whole new persona, a whole new outlook.

She was going Horde...

This is the Sekse everyone is familiar with now. Her sassy wits and Bad to the Bone attitude. She easily conquered the Outlands, laughed at Deathwing's fall and better yet she was back in her top game.

Sekse doesnt have the full time to raid as she used to in her early days but she takes full advantage of the time she has in Azeroth. With the exploration of Pandaria, she has taken on a new life's quest of helping these Panda Folk against the Dark Sha's and now the biggest threat Garrosh. The horde has now turned against there own and she has no doubt that she will be in the front lines.

Sekse has been a life journey In game and IRL. She has seen and overcome many obstacles that were presented to her and has come out a better player and a better person.

Not only is Sekse is a alter Ego of mines she is a piece of me that helps me go harder in life.

Thanks Sekse for always being there for me!

Day 10 - My Favorite Mount

Netherwing Drakes!!!!!!

Spent hours and DAYS farming those damn eggs on the Island. Completing Dailies in Outland. OH MY GAWD!

I remember back in Outland days, that Island was a war zone with players in all hours, camping out at egg spawn locations, farming the leather from the ravagers and so on. My Goodness!

I must say, this was the coolest mount of that time, with their lack of detail, unlike the other drakes from WOTLK.

Soon after, this quest line for these faction soon vanished and i don't think these Netherwing drakes are obtainable any more.

I may look into that.

Day 09 - Alliance or Horde?

In all honesty, I like them both.

Each faction, each race has their own story that unfolds as you level up the toon.

I used always lean more alliance as my main Sekse was a night elf, and i would raid with her alot. Since i was in a very active guild, all of my alts would end up being Alliance, just so that it was easier to transfer gold and gear from one toon to another when needed.

Over the years of playing Warcraft, there has always been the argument that the more "younger" crowd plays alliance. Let me tell you something. I play mostly horde now, as my main has gone horde and i deal with the same Jerks and Kids on Horde then I do when i play my alliance alts.

Only reason Ive kept my main as horde is because will she looks sexy as a Blood Elf <3

In vanilla and BC i would say that the faction has their differences during gameplay, but since WOTLK, both factions are in a way fighting towards the same goal and not much is different from either playing on the Alliance or the Horde side.

So, I say I like them both Equally, but I may lean more towards Horde because of my Main <3

Day 08 - PvE/PvP/RP

I would have to say that I am a PvE (Player Vs Environment). I like the Instances and the Raids. With MoP expansion you have the Scenarios and Heroic Scenarios. What gets me is the constant studying of gear and how each value effects your DPS/healing. If you more Haste or more Hit, whats the Cap? how should you Gem? Whats the Haste Breaking point?

I guess this goes more along with that fact i love to play MMORPGS on many platforms. I am a huge fan of the Final Fantasy Series and Diablo.

Every now and then, i Play some Battlegrounds on Warcraft, but it just doesn't tickle my fancy. I used to PvP more often back before they came up with this "Resilience" aspect and now "Pvp Power". I think it removes the aspect of actually knowing how to play your class and uilitze your skills against other players. Now, players just stack on this stuff and it makes it impossible to get any where. Worse part is, that majority of the players ive ran into who stack this stat don't even know how to Pvp and are the ones that are always ruining the battleground for the few who actually enjoy Pvp.

I remember back in Vanilla Wow, if you ever and i mean EVER ran into a Grand Marshal Paladin...Fucking Run... better yet just Alt+F4. You wouldn't even know what hit you, and a second later you were rezzing at the graveyard.

Pvp Gear was only obtainable through Honor Points, now it drops off several mobs and world bosses, making ever so slightly easier for the nonpvper to gear up for battlegrounds without having to even work hard for their Pvp Gear.

The Pvp system has changed and to tell you the truth i am not in the very least interested in Pvping, maybe if the system was never changed, i would think about it. Now...Nope. I'd rather PvE and see end game content.

Day 07 - My Favorite Lore

I am life by X-Lydeck Deviant Art

Alexstrasza, the Life Bender

Here is a link to Wowiki with her Story. I honestly don't feel like summarizing it for you <3

But she is awesome, I loved her quests at Wyrmrest Temple & her dailies. You will also see her fighting Deathwing at Grim Batol and her appearances at the Twilight Highlands.

Day 6 - My Favorite Quest Line.

A Rare Bean (Nagrand)

When I first encountered this quest line in the Burning Crusade Expansion, I couldn't stop laughing at the fact that Blizzard had a quest to pick up Poop! Not to mention that this wasn't the first quest in the game that you picked up poop!

The best part was that after several patches of people having a "hard" time finding the poop, Blizzard made the poop stand out and sparkle like quest items do nowadays LMAO.

I really dont have a favorite Quest line but this one always stood out as one of the funnier ones i have come across.

Day 5 - My favorite classic instance

Scarlet Monastery

This was a tough one to decide as i have many favorite classic instances, but only one came out first. I would say that this one would be my favorite. I remember the first time I ran the graveyard instance at early 30. I love horror films and when i saw that there were ghosts and ghouls crawling everywhere, I was like this is AWESOME! its like a scene from Silent Hill.

Before, the group finder and cross realm, you had to take the LONG walk from Southshore.

There was no easy way to get there.

The only short cut was swimming across the lake to come up along side of the Underground City, then running across the front door, hoping no Horde saw you.

Once you crossed that, you had to continue taking the North route all the up the side of the hill to finally get the Summoning Stone of Scarlet Monastery. You then either A. look for a group that needed your spec, or B. waited till a second member of your group got to the stone so that you can begin summoning the rest of your group members.

iI think what i love about this instance, is that you can easily level your toon from level 32 to 45 by just running all 4 of the instances.

My favorite part of the instance was Cathedral.

Along with my favorite bosses High Inquisitor Whitemane and High Commander Morgaine

What made then hard during vanilla was the fact that once you killed Morgaine, you were stunned for like 20 secs for Whitemane to make her appearance and resurrect her fallen campaign. Then, you had you make sure you killed her first not to heal him and kill him again. Plus, you got 2 blue drops :)

Day 4 - My favorite zone

My Favorite Zone

Night Elf Starting Area - Teldrassil

Every time I think of beginning a new toon, I run into the issue of "can it be a Night Elf?" or " how long will it take me to walk my new toon to Teldrassil and will it be worth it?" I guess this will go back to when i first started Warcraft, my toon was a Night Elf and I was fascinated by the Lore and story line of the Night Elves. The toons were connected to the earth around them and the land it self was alive with every quest.

I remember the first time i started playing, when i made my way into the second area of quests, usually around level 5. I saw the Ancient Protectors walking around.

I would avoid being anywhere near them, as i didnt realize that they were "Green" to Night elves. I would walk around the whole Inn just not to run into them, because i wasn't high enough level to fight them. To this day, i giggle at myself.

I believe my last toon i leveled as a night elf, it was my last hunter. Once i learned the "Tame" Pet skill for my campaign quest, i went in search of the rare spawn DustStalker. (Credit to Oymre for the SS)

To this day i would have to say that Teldrassil is still my favorite zone.

Day 3 - A Class that I am awful playing?

Hands down, I am awful at playing a Rogue and Kitty (druid).

My Druid, whom I play as Bear or Boomkin, started off a Kitty but didn't last too long. I was taking forever to kill any mob for a quest. Pvp? Lets not even talk about that.

But back to the point. I think rogues and kitty are the same with the points and the stealth and the stabby and oh my. I just can't get the Faceroll rotation down and my combo points were prematurely used and my crits not as high. It was awful!!!

My friend. Yes the same friend mentioned in my blogs is a rogue player and he has some mad skills. No. He did not pay me to say that. He doesn't even read my blogs or tweets so yea lol. He tried to give me "Rogue Lessons" and how to time my strikes. Total bomb. Took a while for him finally give up and that was the end of that.

I gave up and went guardian on the Druid and that's how it stayed.
End of story.

I suck at playing rogues.

Day 2 - The biggest jerk dealt with (in game)?

Well, that is quite hard to narrow down all the jerks, I've dealt with in game to just one? Man...I mean just the other day, I was running a LFR with a buddy of mine and we were just standing around for about 5 min. The LFR group was on this "lets kick everyone who doesn't know the fight or died at the beginning" binge. I mean it was like you sneezed the wrong way and they were nagging to boot you just because. Well, as several raid members were "booted" and some just left, we were sitting around and waiting for the new members to fill in.

I realized that i needed to repair and no one had a repair mount or bot. As usual, i typed in /raid " I'll BRB need to repair" and teleported out of the Instance. I ran to the nearest repair NPC,and while i was there i saw i needed another flask.

The raid was not filled and still needed a few more members. Just as i was opening the mailbox to retrieve the flask, i already see in the raid chat " OMG KICK SEKSE, SHE IS IN ORG".

Im Like, " Are you serious?! I just told you i'll BRB to repair". I teleported back and i saw my buddy defending me, because this guy...HUNTER.. wanted to boot me because he didnt read chat. Mind you we still needed 2 healers to join the raid.

He ended up just leaving the raid because it was taking too long. He Left, the raid filled and we were done in less than 20 mins.

JERK!

Oh my god! and then there was another time, a Deathknight, was like i would say stalking me, opposite faction. Every time i would try to turn in my Golden Lotus Dailies, he will death grip me and kill me. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

He wouldn't kill me if i just stood there. NO, its when I would target the NPC to turn in the quest, he would freaking kill me. It was ridiculous ! I had to log off for about an hour, and when i returned he was finally gone.

Im telling you some people get sick enjoyment of being a Douche.

Day 1 -who is my first character?

Actually my first character was a hunter back in 2005. A friend of mine told me about warcraft and how it was a great game i would enjoy. After a few weeks of nagging me to play i gave in with a free copy of the game and game time. It took me a while to decide what class i wanted to play. At that time a hunter was the one who caught my eye. Who could resist taming a pet and using it!! I leveled her up to 30 and stopped there. Can't remember her name as I deleted the toon shortly after I created my main.

Sekse ( Night Elf - Priest)

She started as I played with an old friend we leveled up together to 60 in vanilla. He played a hunter who tanked everything. What best to level as a priest healing? We has instant groups at that time as there were no "LFR" or "Raid Finder" for all these new age players.  At first I started off as holy then converted to shadow at lvl 70 when BC came out. A guildie of ours was recruited as a main tank to a end game raiding guild and referred me. I soon applied and was accepted.  I transferred to echo isles to a guild named Magic and Mayhem who recruited me back in I say 2007? I raided as shadow for 2+ years with MnM.

Since then I remained shadow and loved it every moment. I don't see myself healing as a priest. For that I have a pally healer :)

I now play horde on skull crusher as for when cataclysm was released my sister asked me to realm/faction change to play with him. Only reason I went was because she paid for it <3 even then she didn't even play with me that often and eventually quit Warcraft.

FOR THE HORDE!!! *cough cough*

LFR Baddie?

So yesterday, i decided to log into my Shadow Priest for a little bit and run some LFRs. First one was alright, wasn't too nail biting and face-palming but when i ran the second one. Holy mackerel! it took over an hour to to down the first 2 bosses in the terrace. Not to mention, we had a Pally healer who would only write in caps in chat on how bad this group was (Mind you, his healing wasn't even on the charts. My Vampiric embrace healed more than he did.).

It was pathetic...

The only reason why I bared the agonizing pain of running that group was because it took over 45 mins to just queue into the damn raid.

I can safely say that after 90 + mins we cleared the instance, and these bad boys dropped for me <3

Leggings of Shadow Infestation

Im Happy Now. But i hope that pally healer, burns in a fiery patch.
